Service was friendly, welcoming and very efficient. Best breakfast so far, freshly cooked, good quality ingredients, all table served, none of that make-your-toast nonsense.

I stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it. The hotel is in a beautiful village right in the heart of Exmoor National Park, perfect for scenic walks and hikes. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely, freshly made and a great start to the day. The food in the bar was also really good, and the atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. There’s even a playground just opposite, which is great if you're visiting with kids. Overall, a lovely stay and I’d definitely come back.

Really lovely place, friendly, amazing food in the bar. Our room was a great size with dual aspect onto the park and over the village. Comfy bed, and so peaceful. Only lost 1 star as the bathroom needed a little updating...BUT huge bath tub and we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at the crown as a large wedding party for our friends wedding in the village. All of the staff took such good care of us whilst we were there, as it's run by a family it felt like were staying in a family home. Really attentive and helpful.

Can’t comment on the rooms as we were staying just up the road in Edgecott House B&B but we were recommended to use The Crown for our evening meal. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the food was perfect. They have a really good chef! The atmosphere was good too, as many others were eating there and the happy locals were supporting the pub at the bar. We went in three evenings and ate on two of those. Will most definitely use again when we are next in the area.

Excellent food and drink. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We were a large group and a fairly last minute booking, but the food still arrived very quickly. Highly recommend!

Whilst we didn’t stay in the hotel rooms, we ate an evening meal in the pub. We originally had booked a table for 4 people for the restaurant area in the pub, but we were so warm and cosy by the fire in the bar side that our food was served to us there without any hesitation. The food was delicious and well-presented and the staff were friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend the pub/restaurant and Exford is a lovely village and I will certainly go back.
